Shooting is now complete on a new film clip for country music singer and owner of Rush studios Terry Simpson.
We had great fun on location with the only complaint from Col ('The Hangman") that the there was no alcohol in the 'Whiskey' bottle - just a light iced tea beverage!
But it sure looked the part!

The decision to move into music recording was a natural progression after updates to the green screen with the infinity wall and the the advanced edition update for the TriCaster. This will enable us to move into a whole new aspect of music video production. We will be able to start from scratch, giving the artist the ability to record their single or album here at the Marymark Media studio and then it will be mixed and we can follow up and shoot the video clip to the song/s to help bring it to life.
Because we updated our studio we've also updated our TriCaster video and audio switching system to include the advanced edition.

To be able to complete new music pilot programs and their subsequent serries required even more development in the studio.
It would never have happened without my sound mentor Scott Mullane.
For a long time there were jumbles of cables, microphones and instruments (Pictured) and it's was Scott's advice at crutial times that was a driving force in the build.
The video clip shot and produced by Marymark Media for 'Cumberland Gap' by the Hillbilly Goats scored a nomination for a 'Golden Guitar' for best film clip at the Tamworth County Music Awards. The clip is also being screened on CMC on the Foxtel pay television network. While it did not get the gong, it was exciting to be nominated for a music video award for the first time. The film clip for 'Cumberland Gap' was actually shot not far from the Marymark Media Studio.
After starting off with just a green screen wall at the back of our studio we decided to go one step further, and began the painstaking process of building the curve for an infinity wall. As usual it turned out to be a much bigger project than I could have ever imagined. However the end result is just magic! After a coat of paint on the floor, and now we have the full infinity wall green screen. One of the benefits has been to also include a white wall as well so there is a 3m x 3m white wall as well. So far the reaction has been terrific and we've had several project shot in the studio just because of the green screen.
